Community Fundraisers Make a Huge Difference, Ellie Pharis, Development Director

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of attending the 3rd Annual Best Medicine Ball. This event is organized and presented by another non-profit, Comedy 4 A Cure, to bring the community together for a time of laughter to benefit those with life-threatening illnesses. This year the Idaho Ronald McDonald House was one of three charities that were chosen as beneficiaries of the event. The evening included silent and live auctions and dinner followed by a comedy hour. Idaho RMH will receive items from the auctions that were sponsored by guests as well as a portion of the proceeds.

Throughout the year individuals, civic organizations, church groups, and businesses organize a variety of events with the purpose of raising money or collecting food and household items for the Idaho Ronald McDonald House. How about you? The end of the year is a perfect time to rally your friends, family and co-workers. And, there are so many opportunities, such as, car shows, sporting events, concerts, social media campaigns, wish list collections, birthday parties, baby showers, and even something as simple as setting up a Friends Asking Friends page through our Group Give site to collect donations online. To help you get started check out our “Fundraiser  Guidelines” then complete the Fundraiser Agreement Form. If you have questions, want to talk through your idea or would like more information about the online giving site, give me a call (208-336-5478) or send an email.

These events are very important to our overall fundraising efforts. Your support will help keep families together during a very stressful time in their lives!
